Home made Bourbon Caramel Sauce

Beth’s Bourbon Apple Crisp

This Bourbon Apple Crisp is sweet with a bold punch of bourbon. Provide with a dollop of iced cream for the ideal take care of!


Apple Crisp

  • 5 cups 1/2″ diced peeled apples* about 4-6 apples
  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats gluten free of charge
  • 1/2 cup flour gluten cost-free
  • 1/2 cup flippantly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter divided

Beth’s Bourbon Sauce

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup flippantly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup cream or coconut product
  • pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and lightly grease 6 oven evidence ramekins or a 8×8” pan. Area the diced apples in a medium bowl and stir in 1 tablespoon of melted butter.

  2. In a massive bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt.  Mix to blend.  Stir in the remaining melted butter to combine.

  3. Stir 1/4 cup of the oat combination into the apples and stir to blend.  Transfer the apples to the baking dish(es) and sprinkle the oat mixture evenly in excess of the apples.

  4. Bake until finally the best is golden brown, around 1 hour.

  5. Though the crisp is baking make the Bourbon Sauce.  In a tiny saucepan more than reduced warmth mix the butter and flour and whisk alongside one another cook dinner for 1 moment. Add the brown sugar, bourbon, product and salt simmer and whisk until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce has slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes.  Clear away from the warmth and whisk in the vanilla.

  6. Provide slightly warm with a scoop of vanilla ‘nice cream’ or ice cream and a drizzle of Beth’s Bourbon Sauce.
